“Fall Grand Canyon” 12×16 oil
This demo was done during the workshop last week. Mainly to illustrate the use of palette knife and brush together and the power of directional mark-making in creating effective planes and forms. The same lessons apply to the Grand Canyon as to painting drapery or the human form.
We really had a great time. I am always blessed with a diverse group. We all start at the same place with the same lessons and by the end of the week everyone is very much on their own page with their own style and subject matter. My next 5-day workshop “Painting without Fear” is taking place June 11 – 15, 2012. Details HERE.
